Biography
You can not find a purer New Yorker then Kim Wesley. She grew up in the Bronx where she would ingrain the city into her DNA. A Yankees Fan? No one bigger than her, she can name every starting position player and pitcher going back 20 years. Giants or Jets? Ok this one all depended on who was winning, but let's be honest the Jets? When is the last time they won anything!

She grew up a tomboy always chasing her brothers around trying to prove she could be just like one of the boys. That was until puberty hit, and boys started showering her with attention for a whole new set of reasons. During those formative years however, Kim was raised by her older brother Darren more than her parents. See her father was the Leader of a local gang, always too busy with the shadier side of the city then raising his kids. Her mother on the other hand was not too bad, when she was clean that is, Kim cannot tell you how many times her mother was found on the floor high on her drug of choice for the day.

So, when her teens years arrived, she was a wild and crazy mess, especially when Darren was gunned down outside a local grocery. No one was left to try and watch over her, both parents dealing with their own set of demons and her remaining brothers were following down their father's footsteps. The good thing is all that changed her tenth-grade year of high school when she was placed in Mr. Baker's history class.

She was not sure what he saw in her but by the time she graduated with honors she really didn't care why he believe in her, she was just happy he did. It was not easy turning her life around at such a young age and basically raising herself, but she did it. Then when the time came to pick her career, she decided to join the police force. For one she wanted to show other young girls, growing up the way she did, that your environment and blood relations don't decide who you are... you do! The other reason is a bit weirder for even as kid no one could lie to her, she sensed it. The moment the words left your mouth she knew instantly if they speaking honestly or lying to her face.
