| Growing up in a small town just outside of Virginia Beach some would think she had it all with her model like good looks and well to do religious family, but they would be sadly mistaken. Behind that smile hid a secret that would eventually turn her world on its head. She was a well-liked cheerleader with a football player boyfriend, Derek Larken, just living the American dream. They would go on to win all the rewards people like them were supposed to win their senior year. But once high school was over, so was the need to fake that smile.
She decided to attend Penn Law in Philadelphia where she would meet Lynzee Jackson, a student at University of the Arts. It was love at first sight once they got together there was no turning back even when her family disowned her for being a lesbian. They would both go on to graduate Lynzee a Dance and Theater major while Ashley became a lawyer.
They decided to move to New York and into a town house with Lynzee's brother Mason, an up-and-coming illusionist. It did not take long for Ashley to find her place in one of the best law firms in the city, she would spend all her time becoming one of the best criminal defense lawyers in the city. She had one rule though and that rule at times brought her at odds with her bosses from time to time, but she would not break it, never to defend someone she felt was guilty. Her bosses may not have liked that rule, but they could not argue with her results even when the odds were stacked against her.
While her career was taking off so was her relationship with Lynzee, they lived together and basically had the place to themselves since Mason was always traveling. But what turned her life upside down was when Lynzee shared her and Mason's biggest secret, they were Evolves. At first, she could not believe it but once handed the note Lynzee wrote all those years ago on the day, they met Ashley could not deny what her girlfriend was or how special she was. Ashley decided then and there that she would do everything in her power to keep the twins secret safe not just because it was the right thing to do but because they were her family now. |
